Sgt. Paul R. Bastean

Sergeant Paul R. Bastean became a police officer after graduating the Academy in June of 1998.  He currently holds the positions of  Head Firearms Instructor and Armorer for the Lake St. Louis Police Department.  Prior to his law enforcement career, Paul owned and operated a successful small business in hunting supplies and firearms sales for seven years.  He participates and has won numerous tournaments across the country in the National Sporting Clays Association and other organizations.  He has taught and trained numerous men, women and young adults in firearms safety and proficiency both in law enforcement and sporting applications.  The following is a brief description of Paul’s training background, qualifications and achievements:
